Christmas 2009

A little sprinkle of snow just before Christmas.

Not very common for Nantes.

Since I arrived in Nantes, I've tried to try new things and one of the last classic French items on the list was the famous Frog's legs dish.

So as a surprise, Elo's family put them on the Christmas menu.

You may think they look quite strange, and I'd agree with you. But the taste really is nice. It's not a strong flavour, it's really the sauce that goes with them that you appreciate.

So Although they tasted rather good, I could only force my brain to get doan three or four pairs before they began looking too Froggy.

Nap Time

Striking a pose in Mum's arms. Ahh, life's difficult.

Dad's turn to rock me to sleep.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

It's even hard for Dad to keep his eyes open.

Very hard.

Papy felt like having a little siesta after a big christmas lunch. Naturally, I joined him.

Smurf? No, it's his turn in his Winter outfit. Thanks Nat.

Have you been taking photos of me while I was asleep? That's just creepy.

I'm not sure about you any more.

You're starting to frighten me.

I'm gonna keep my eye on you!

Baby boy

Well, we assume most of you know by now that we've welcomed a new arrival into our family. It was the 10th December at 17:49 when he graced us with his 3.83kg frame, measuring 53.5cm.
Those of you who'd spoken to the proud mum were probably waiting for a little girl? but he had other plans. So after a relatively uncomplicated labour, he finally made his grand entrance.
Since then Mum and Dad have been awake!

Elo did a wonderful job during the delivery. She was brilliant.

He must get the cow fetish from his mum!

But he also loves Dad

Lemons?

Kisses

This face is cute

A little smile as he falls asleep

Thanks mum, you're the best.

Pleasure

Yummy thumb

You're just a little baby.
Get in my belly!

A prickly kiss from Dad

So stay tuned for more pictures. We'll try not to bore you.

The Christmas tree

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, I don't know the rest of the song!!!
Our fifth Christmas together, and finally we have our own christmas tree.
And the first decoration that was put on our tree was courtisy of our lovely sister and her fiancé, a cute little snowman. (That's the decoration, not you Ryan, although you're cute too)
We're still in renovation mode so there's not a lot of room in the house at the moment. So we opted for a small to medium tree, with inbuilt optic fibre lights, classy.

My angel, decorating the christmas icon. Although we don't have a star yet, it's not far away.
Where are the presents?

Ahhh, there they are.
I promise that I haven't shaken any of them???

I guess the best present will be coming a little early, we hope, so it will make it a Christmas to remember for us.
