July's photos

Here are a few we prepared earlier.
Beach, garden, Nantes, etc.

Nantes have a long running project to promote activities and art in the city. We spent a day exploring the newest of these.
Like a giant ball pool.

Great fun.

Unusual creations in the cities gardens.

A maze by the castle.

A dragon themed park, great fun for the kiddies.

A bar at the top of the tallest building in Nantes called "The Nest"

A long day walkinf deserved a little nap.

Few days with Merlin

For the first few days of our vacation, we went to visit Merlin the wizard's forest.

We stopped at a castle where there was a medieval fete

Warriors

Games for the kids to play
Ther was an indoor heated pool at the camp site, which was the main attraction for the kids.

Happy to be up on a bail of hay
He's our prince, but evidently he's not a king!

The camp grounds were divided into two sections, with a "cow crossing" seperating them. Out to the pastures in the morning and back to the barn at night.

Great shot of a dive, which ended up a perfect belly flop.

Below, is an old technique to make coal by slowly burning wood for several days.
We went on a guided walk in a part of the forest, which was really interesting, even the kids loved it.

The campsite, we're not exaclty well equipped, but wedo have a three person tent( yes, we are four)

In La Gacilly, (Mum you may remember this place) there was a wonderful photo exhibition.

We went canoeing. Everyone paddled, somemore than others, but we had a nice time.
