Halloween Party

The decorations are up!
Costumes on!
Friends are over!

And the disgusting food is served!

At the end of the evening, the face paint was giving some people a very scary look indeed.

Family 'Raid' (Adventure Race)

So we had nice family day out a while back. We participated in a sort of multi-sport race.
There were different sports to complete in and a short orienteering challenge.
First off, Sarbacane(Blowgun) so we all had a go.

We then went on to canoeing. It was fun, but almost everyone got wet.
We needed lots of muscles to back to the jetty.
No idea what this is called, but it wasn't easy.
A race to the finish line.

The champions on the podium.

After all that sport, we headed off to the town of Clisson for a nocturnal walk. Some groups had set up thousands of candles along a river and through the city, and we walked by candle light, admiring the ruins of the castle, bridges and various other old buildings.

Everyone had a great time.

Of course the photos don't do the real experience justice, but you get the idea. It was beautiful.

Judokes

Judo started last week.
Everyone had a great first course.

Competition

Many thanks to Mamy for overseeing the project of creating a Chicken. We were thus invited to enjoy a meal at the "Canteen", where we ate, as you may have suspected, chicken.

O invited a good friend.

A very animated game of table soccer.

We went for a walk to a park near the Elephant, where the kids favourite thing to do was the flying fox.

Le Voyage à Nantes

Le Voyage a Nantes is hard to explain breifly. It's a project by the city to promote tourism, by creating very interesting places to visit. From galleries, to gardens, street art to unusual kids parks. Here are a few photos from our day following the "Green Line".
Giant sleeping creatures in the botanical gardens.

Cushion fight.
There was a large pen filled with 1000 cushions, the only reason we could think was to enjoy a freindly cusion fight.

A globe hanging from a crane.
Long Ma, a half horse, half dragon that breathed fire and made a lot of noise.

A moon landscape with trampolines built into the craters made for a great photo opportunity.

A well timed photo caught the effects of jumping on a trampoline.

A chair roller coaster that landed in different cafés in the square looked funny
