Canberra - Cairns (English Version)

Hello Everybody,

So today is my turn to explain what we have been doing since we left Canberra. So the 4th July we departed for the north, destination Brisbane. Not much to report on between Canberra and Brisbane, except Elo found the place she wants to get married at.(When the time comes). It's called Green Cathedral, near Port Stephens. Anyway, after seeing my Dad for a couple of days we picked up Elo's cousin Guillaume and his two friends, Yvan and Herve. We had a quick stop in Noosa for a swim and we saw a few whales off the point. Then for a three day 4x4 safari on Fraser Island. Driving on sand was a very different experience and camping on the beach watching the sun rise was magnificent. The clear lakes and beautiful rainforest was amazing as was seeing many dolphins and whales very close to the coast. Then, on to Rainbow Beach for another sunrise, followed by 1000km of driving that day to reach Proserpine. Elo and i went for a sea plane ride out to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Whitehaven Beach, where we had champagne and fruit, a quick sunbathe and back on plane for the trip back to Airlie beach. Then on to Townsville (G'day Rizza and Helen) where we spent the day on Magnetic Island, where we swam, saw koalas and an Echidna. I required more sun cream that day, and consequently spent the next several days whinging to Elo to put more moisturiser on my back. We travelled past Carins to the Daintree where we took a cruise and saw crocs, kingfishers, tree snakes and several other birds. We returned to Cairns for a day out at Green Island for snorkeling. This time we didn't see any sharks, happy Elo, but she did get sun burnt.
So that's the news so far people.
Love you all
