Apres ca, il a fallu trouver un endroit pour dormir. Notre catalogue des aires de repos, nous indique un parc national peu connu ou c'est gratuit de camper, nous voila partis. Apres une route d'environ 45min dans le fin fond d'une foret on arrive dans le parc. Des campeurs etaient deja installes alors on pose Marguerite, on mange et on se couche.After staying at the Twelve Apostles to watch the sunset, we had to find a place to stay. Along the coast towards Melbourne we found a State Park that offered free campsites, so being the thrifty pair we are, we decided to stop there for the night. Straight to bed, ready for an early start the following day. But while having a cuppa and a few bikkies, we spotted a Koala walking behind Margeurite!! What a shock. After watching this particular Koala taking a drink, we looked around the campground and found about another TEN. There were also three mothers with young stuck on their backs, hanging on for their lives. So what was planned as a sleeping stop-over, turned into a three day Koala watching safari. And i can tell you that even after three days it was hard to leave. We love them.
Le lendemain matin, pret a partir, on a la surprise de voir un koala traverser le camp. C'est vraiment tres rare de voir un koala au sol. Du coup on regarde un peu partout autour de nous et on voit deux ou trois koalas, installes tranquillement dans les arbres!!! Pas d'hesitation, on reste la journee entiere a les regarder et essayer d'en trouver d'autre dans le parc. C'etait genial on a vu trois meres avec les petits et environ une dizaine d'autre koalas.
