L'enterrement de vie de garçon/jeune fille

What a handsome fella! Many thanks to my brother in law and very thoughtful cousins for choosing my outfit. Habillé par Yann. Dressed by Yann.
The sign attached to my neck, said I'm Australian seeking money to return home. Not so nice for Elo.

So my objective was clear, sell cups of Rosé to people in the street. Dressed as a real dork, it's not really easy. We didn't find lots of people, and the ones we did find were working in the garden and didn't feel like going inside to search for a few coins to donate to a street bum. So with the cousins, brother in law and Clement, who came from Paris for the weekend, I tried not to scare people and suck a few cents out of them. To no avail.

One customer who gratefully took a cup, but less willingly handed over some cash.

I was a little tired after a great game of beach soccer. Who won?

Next challenge, burying the post, "cheville". It's really a 5 foot copper's log with point at one end, everybody signed their name on it. Then, with a large mallet, everybody takes turns to tap the log into the ground. There's something symbolic about it, I'm sure.

After that, I'd developed a nice blister on my hands, but we hadn't finished. Elo's cousins built us a mini coffin, where they put bottles of wine to be buried in the yard until the birth of our first baby.

Quite a collection of bottles.

A quiet prayer for the bottles.
Elod started the honours. It was much quicker to fill the hole in than it was to dig it. But don't worry David, "It's only sand at St Michel". Right?. Wrong!
i'm still waiting to see the photos, but Elo and her friends went to a picnic on the beach before she tried to sell lollies in town. Then an animal park, similar to Western Plains zoo . She made a lot more money than me, well done cherie.
